Situé en zone inondable, il s’agit d’un quai suspendu sur berges permettant d’assurer la continuité des liaisons naturelles au centre ancien de la ville de Redon. Dans le même temps, l’ouvrage composé d’un ensemble de strates en béton étagées, constitue un dispositif anti-crue. L’ensemble coulé in situ suit le modelé de la rivière.

«Le bonheur c’était de découvrir le travail de ces photographes, qui pendant trente-cinq ans, ont photographié la construction du centre de Tokyo. C’était de retrouver les photos et le film des travaux de l’hôpital d’Aix-la-Chapelle, celles de la construction du Musac et de l’IMA, ainsi que le film sur la fabrication des diaphragmes. C’était d’obtenir l’accord de Richard Copans pour utiliser des rushes des productions des Films d’ici. C’était de parvenir à réaliser un film de 3 minutes à partir d’un 52 minutes sur la médiathèque de Sendaï. C’était de visionner le film tourné par Hiromi Kashiwagi montrant sous la neige les berges de la Vilaine à Redon, aménagées par Pierre Lafon… »

«The proposition concerns restoring the tow-path upstream from the railway bridge and the implementation of a corbelled flood-proof bank for the la Vilaine river as it passes the town of Redon, reaching the level of the highest floods known, 5.50 meters.

Parts of the towpath disappeared when the road was widened, destroying the traditional link between the town of Redon and the paths along the river. Besides the flood-proof systems implemented, a corbelled pedestrian walkway and a bicycle track will reintstate right of passage along the river banks. Meetings with local and national institutions involved in the structural and environmental aspects helped to determine the guidelines to work on. […] Following the natural profile of the riverbanks, to alter them as little as possible, the promenade presents a variable door plan and elevation profile, following a sinuous course. The use of rendered black concrete gives it a "stony" look which continues the rustic mineral look of the quays. In the vicinity of the town, coherence demands a dock-like image more than a riverside promenade. On a level below the first, a second platform introduces another surface between the Vilaine and the walkway, providing extra safety for the strollers and seating space for fishermen or anyone seeking a closer contact with the river. The piles are protected by a cylindrical skirt of Cor-ten steel, the wide diameter of which contrasts with the lightness of the concrete slabs. The variable height between the upper and lower walkways is spanned by a sloped surface, which prevents objects being left in the corners and shares out the stress.

Each strata seems independent and the overall effect is of alternate mineral or organic strips, of various widths and lengths, lapping over and under each other. […] Overall, the work manages to associate a global concept with series of constants, notably the highest flood-water-level registered, the natural characteristics of the river bank and the various uses it is put to. The concrete slabs, poured on site, allow for some tolerance regarding the vertical and horizontal profile, adaptable to the environmental factors encountered. »

法国 bretagne 区 redon 城 抗洪的人行道和码头

由于坐落在洪水地带,所以我们设计了一个不靠着河堤半悬挂的码头,之前荒芜的上游地段和redon老城的河岸是不相连接的,现在我将它们连起来,分了3个功能(汽车道、自行车道、步行道),这三天道路的高低是不一样的,中间的自行车道要高出其他两条道,防止了洪水蔓延到汽车道从而殃及这个城市,三条道路盘旋在河边,高低错落,同一条道的每一段的水平高低也是不一样的,人们走在河边,时而高时而低,防洪的同时也增加了观赏性。
